Yellowhead
Community Services Society (YCS) was incorporated in 1989 (under the former name
of Wells Grey Community
Resources Society) in response to a recognized need for an
umbrella organization to develop and administer a number of social/health
services for the North Thompson Valley of British Columbia. YCS is now the largest non-profit, registered
charity in the North Thompson and provides a variety of services to individuals and families from McLure to Blue River.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
"Promote healthy communities, families and individuals
through counselling, support and education."

VOLUNTEER
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
A volunteer Board of Directors
is
elected at our Annual General Meeting, normally held in June. With
their broad base of community knowledge and working experience, the directors
serve the Society through policy development and review. The Board of
Directors meets on a monthly
basis. Our Annual General Meeting is held the third Thursday in June.

Our Executive Director, Jack Keough,
has been with the Society since 1995, and, through program development and implementation, is a crucial player in
addressing the changing needs of the communities we serve. We employ highly
qualified full and part time staff and contracted workers to deliver programs
and services.

maintain offices in Barriere as well as Clearwater. Contact
information and hours of operation for both our Clearwater and Barriere offices
are shown

Our Clearwater office is located at 612 Park Drive - near Dr.
Helmcken Memorial Hospital and next door to the Seniors Centre and Evergreen
Acres Seniors Housing.
