Requirements Qualifications
-Master’s Degree from an accredited educational institution in a Health, Behavioral, or Social Science field relevant to the position.
-Two (2) years of recent clinical experience related to mental health and substance use treatment and two years of supervisory or management experience is required.
-Current valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Please Note: As per the current Provincial Health Officer Order, disclosure of vaccination status and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required.
Duties
 Status: Full-time position (35hrs/week)
Position Summary
This is a blended position, consisting of a management component and a direct service (MHSU) clinician component.
This position will be based in Barriere and travel to Clearwater will be required. You will be an integral part of our management and integrated counselling teams.
Manager of Counselling Services (10hrs/week):
-Provide direction, case management, and oversight to clinicians in the communities of Clearwater, Barriere, and Ashcroft.
Counselling programs include Family Counselling, P.E.A.C.E program, Stopping the Violence, and Mental Health and Substance Use programs.
-You will also be responsible for liaising with other professionals, service providers, and agencies in the areas we serve.
-Other responsibilities include contract management, budgeting, and statistical reporting to funders as appropriate.

MHSU Clinician (25hrs/week):
-Providing services primarily to adult and senior populations.
- Conducting intake, assessments, interventions, collaborative treatment planning, and case management.
-Responsibilities will include carrying a caseload and delivering services to those with a diagnosis of mood, personality, and concurrent disorders (medical conditions, trauma, substance use, and other disorders).
-The position will require competencies in clinical counselling and collaboration with physicians, psychiatrists, and the local First Nation Band service team.
-The position includes providing services to youth with substance use issues.

Successful candidate can expect a comprehensive extended health package and competitive wages with other similar agencies. The wage range is per the YCS Wage Grid for Clinical Counsellor and Manager: $41.53-$49.30 per hour depending on experience. Relocation expenses may be available.

School Bus Drivers - Relief

Wage $28.21 per hour

Requirements

The successful applicant must possess a valid Class 2 Drivers license with an Air endorsement and have three years proven previous driving experience. Applicants must be able to successfully complete the School District’s pre-trip evaluation and road test.

Applications should include, but are not limited to, the following information:

-An Air Brake Endorsement
-A recent driver’s abstract
Resume and Cover letter - required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferably Grade 12 supplemented by a Class 2 Driver’s License and Air Brake courses.
-Must be physically able to perform all duties of the position and pass an annual medical examination.
-Three years appropriate accident free driving experience, valid B.C. Class 2 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement and ability to successfully complete the School District’s pre-trip and road test.

ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with the public, parents, students, teachers, Principals and other employees of the Board.
-Ability to operate a School Bus and adhere to all safety and traffic regulations.
-Ability to maintain discipline on a School Bus.
-Knowledge of the mechanical operations of a School Bus

Duties

Under the minimal supervision of the Director of Transportation, incumbent is responsible for safely transporting students over assigned routes and for reporting any mechanical failures or accidents.

Typical Duties:
- Operates a School Bus to safely transport students over assigned routes including field trips
-Performs pre-trip inspection prior to departure.
-Keeps a log of extra trips taken
-Maintains internal cleanliness of the bus.
-Reports mechanical failures and accidents to the appropriate supervisor
-Maintains appropriate behaviour and completes Discipline Reports on problem students being transported.
-May be required to assist physically and mentally handicapped students when transporting them.
-Other assigned job related duties.
