We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an Administrative and Communications Assistant position in our Corporate Services department. This is a temporary full-time role to cover maternity and parental leave. The estimated term for this position is from February 2026 through to March 2027.

Behavior Interventionist Worker

Duties

Key Duties:
The BI Behaviour Interventionist encourages and assists children to experience new and challenging activities that further develop their independence and skill sets. The Behaviour Interventionist works closely with Behaviour Consultants, other Interventionists as well as the Program Manager to provide quality services to children, youth and families.

Hour of Work:

Job Summary

The Construction Site Supervisor is a great opportunity for someone looking for a mix of leadership and hands on work. This position will consist of a variety of tasks from managing/leading, quality oversight and hands on building, for various types of construction projects throughout BC. Qualifications
Education & Experience:

Completion of an apprenticeship program or similar formal training in carpentry.

Crane Operator experience/certification is an asset.
2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

Leadership and Teamwork:

Supervise, direct, and motivate site crews, subcontractors and trades to achieve project goals and objectives.
Collaborate closely with Superintendents for task assignments and project objectives.
Plan and schedule daily work activities in alignment with project timelines and milestones.
Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and material handling to minimize downtime.
Assist in problem-solving and decision-making when unexpected site challenges arise.
Maintain daily site reports, time sheets, and records of work completed.
Communicate clearly with the Site Superintendent / Project Manager regarding progress, issues, and resource needs.
Support training and mentoring of apprentices and junior crew members.

Construction and Installation:

Install prefabricated wall panels, floors, roofs, and other structure systems according to project plans and specifications.
Perform layout, measuring, cutting, and assembly of wood and other building materials as required.
Execute finishing work including trim, doors, windows, stairs, and other interior/exterior carpentry tasks.
Safely use and operate basic hand and power tools.
Install joists, trusses and rafters.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.


Blueprints and Specifications:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, building plans, and sketches to understand project requirements.
Take precise measurements and calculate the dimensions needed for the project.
Select appropriate materials based on project requirements.

Quality Assurance:

Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes.
Ensure the accuracy and quality of carpentry work
Safety Compliance:

Enforce health & safety policies, conduct tool-box talks, and ensure a safe worksite at all times.
Follow and model established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure all tools and machinery are in safe working condition.
Safe and efficient operation of hand tools and construction equipment.


Material Management:

Select and source appropriate materials for projects, considering factors such as durability, strength, and budget.
Estimate material requirements and costs and manage supplies to avoid waste.

Purchasing:

Casual employees are required to provide their availability each month following the guidelines below:

-12 days of availability each month

-4 days-4 weekends- 4 any days in a month

-Availability is assumed for all three shifts for the 12 days provided, day, afternoon and awake overnight. 

Days: 7:30-3:30PM

  Afternoon: 3:30-11:30PM

  Awake Overnight: 11:30PM-7:30AM 

Requirements: 

-Community, School Support Worker, Resident Care Aid, Home Support Worker Certificate

-One year recent related experience working with seniors with developmental diverse abilities.

Develop and execute silviculture plans, including site preparation, planting programs, spacing, brushing and thinning operations.
Conduct field assessments and surveys to monitor forest regeneration and growth performance.

Ensure compliance with BC forestry regulations, industry standards, and certification requirements.
