Duties

Yellowhead Community Services (YCS) is looking for individuals willing to become Home Share Providers for adults with diverse abilities and wellness barriers in the Clearwater and Barriere area.

 

As a Home Share Provider, you will provide ongoing support and guidance building life skills, assisting with meal preparation, accessing community resources, and services. You will encourage inclusion within the home and community environment. You will be responsible for the safety, support, and wellbeing of the individual. You will ensure the individual is accessing appropriate medical and dental care. Also, you will assist with nurturing positive relationships with friends, family, and support networks. This is a 24/7 position; however, additional supports will be provided.

Housekeeping Staff

Requirements We are looking for housekeeping staff for our various guest suites and glamping retreat. We have three unique properties with a total of 21 units. We are looking for someone physically fit, able to carry supplies and equipment up and down stairs, maneuver to clean top-to- bottom, and able to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care.

Duties Duties:
● Collecting garbage and debris left by guests
● Stripping beds and bathrooms of linens and towels
● Cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing of all surfaces, including ovens, showers, windows
● Making beds and replacing clean linens and towels
● Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
● Ensuring entry ways are kept clean and inviting
● Reporting stock and inventory levels to management

Laundry Attendant

Requirements

As a laundry Attendant, , you play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of Hotel linens to ensure guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding, and delivery hotel linens in accordance with established standards.

Qualifications:
· Basic knowledge of general laundry cleaning principles, use of laundry products, and operation of standard laundry equipment.
· Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
· Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighting up to 40 lbs.
· Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
· Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays

 

Duties

· Maintain the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates and vendors.
· Sets up cleaning cart with supplies. Maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.
· Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
· Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets and stall walls. Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls in order to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.

· Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that have been removed by previous guest, or is soiled or torn, to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
· Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
· Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings.
· Strips bed of all linens and remakes with fresh linens.
· Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies (e.g., hangers, extra blankets, extra pillows).
· Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways.
· Inspects door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
· Checks lights and remotes to ensure all are in working order.
· Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a Registered Forest Technologist with Forest Professionals BC (FPBC). Note: immediately eligible for registration is defined as being able to immediately transfer a current membership from an applicable jurisdiction to FPBC within six (6) months of employment. -The Senior Stewardship Resource Technologist provides a range of technical evaluation and advisory services to support decisions on natural resources. These services also support the achievement and coordination of the forest stewardship aspect of natural resource management.

School Bus Drivers - Relief

Wage $28.21 per hour

Requirements

The successful applicant must possess a valid Class 2 Drivers license with an Air endorsement and have three years proven previous driving experience. Applicants must be able to successfully complete the School District’s pre-trip evaluation and road test.

Applications should include, but are not limited to, the following information:

-Indication of a valid Class 2 driver’s license
-An Air Brake Endorsement
-A recent driver’s abstract
Resume and Cover letter - required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferably Grade 12 supplemented by a Class 2 Driver’s License and Air Brake courses.
-Must be physically able to perform all duties of the position and pass an annual medical examination.
-Three years appropriate accident free driving experience, valid B.C. Class 2 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement and ability to successfully complete the School District’s pre-trip and road test.

ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Duties

Under the minimal supervision of the Director of Transportation, incumbent is responsible for safely transporting students over assigned routes and for reporting any mechanical failures or accidents.

Typical Duties:
- Operates a School Bus to safely transport students over assigned routes including field trips
-Performs pre-trip inspection prior to departure.
-Keeps a log of extra trips taken
-Maintains internal cleanliness of the bus.
-Reports mechanical failures and accidents to the appropriate supervisor
-Maintains appropriate behaviour and completes Discipline Reports on problem students being transported.
-May be required to assist physically and mentally handicapped students when transporting them.
-Other assigned job related duties.
