Experience the local flavors of the North Thompson Valley and the Gateway to Wells Gray Provincial Park! The Clearwater Farmer's Market runs every Saturday from the first weekend in May until Thanksgiving from 9 am until Noon. Located on the cool grassy field at the Dutch Lake Community Centre, we offer locally grown produce, grass fed beef, pastured chickens, fresh baking, gourmet chocolates and mushrooms, local coffee, honey and a wide variety of quality handcrafted items by local artisans. There is a playground for children and a stage for special events and musicians. Mobility parking available and within walking distance of Dutch Lake and the Clearwater River. Our market belongs to the BC Association of Farmers Markets is located on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territories of the Secwépemc Nation. We pay respect to the First Peoples of these territories and extend that acknowledgment and respect to all Indigenous Peoples.
We welcome all local vendors that make, bake, grow or wild harvest the product they sell. New vendors – please inquire about the New Vendor Incubator Program, offered in partnership with Community Futures Thompson Country, which supports new market vendors with small business coaching, no vendor fees for six consecutive markets and the use of a tent, table and reusable chalkboard signs. We are a proud member or the BC Association of Farmers Markets and participate in the Nutrition Coupon Program. We try to help close the gaps in the local food system by providing a Community Food Table so that backyard growers and gleaners can bring their excess produce to the market. Please ask the market manager for more information.
