Requirements Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience is considered an asset.
Must be able to frequently bend and kneel, lift a moderate weight, and work on
feet for an extended period.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be willing to work a variety of day and weekend shifts
Valid drivers’ license an asset
Must be punctual for work.
Must always carry a radio to communicate between team members and other
departments daily.
The dress code is black jeans and a MWHS (Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing)
housekeeping shirt which is supplied. The dress code must always be adhered
to. Name tag must be always worn and be visible.
Wear appropriate PPE where necessary. (personal protective equipment)
Duties

A day in the life of a Housekeeping Attendant
-Ensure clean linen is in a good state of repair.
-Ensure that rooms are checked regularly for repairs and refurbishing, and that
-required maintenance is recorded.
-Restock maids closet supplies and amenities daily.
-Ensure that staff accommodation is kept clean and in a good state of repair.

Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness in the housekeeping department.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
-Drive company vehicles with care and safety, reporting any damage to the
housekeeping manager immediately.
-Professional conduct - communicate effectively and appropriately and always find a
way to be productive. Be responsible, ethical, and team oriented, and possess
effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
-Always ensure guest confidentiality.
-Work must be performed to the highest quality. Attention to detail is extremely
important.
-Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner within
company policies.
-Communicate all problems and/or ideas to your supervisor.

Requirements Refrigeration Operator Certificate
Experience in building, custodial and grounds maintenance, and minor repairs
Experience in curling and skating ice maintenance is an asset

Duties Duties include:
Monitor operation of arena refrigeration plant, record readings in compressor log as directed by plant engineer
Assist with installation of ice and maintain ice as required using re-surfacer and edger
Clean washrooms, floors, stands and lobby as required - monitor operating supply needs and receive shipments
Snow clearing and sand application when necessary
Answer public enquiries in person or by phone, accept ice rental bookings, accept payments and issue receipts.

School Bus Drivers - Relief

Wage $31.36 per hour

Requirements

The successful applicant must possess a valid Class 2 Drivers license with an Air endorsement and have three years proven previous driving experience. Applicants must be able to successfully complete the School District’s pre-trip evaluation and road test.

Applications should include, but are not limited to, the following information:

-A recent driver’s abstract

QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferably Grade 12 supplemented by a Class 2 Driver’s License and Air Brake courses.

-Three years appropriate accident free driving experience, valid B.C. Class 2 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement and ability to successfully complete the School District’s pre-trip and road test.

ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Duties

Under the minimal supervision of the Director of Transportation, incumbent is responsible for safely transporting students over assigned routes and for reporting any mechanical failures or accidents.

Typical Duties:
- Operates a School Bus to safely transport students over assigned routes including field trips
-Performs pre-trip inspection prior to departure.
-Keeps a log of extra trips taken
-Maintains internal cleanliness of the bus.
-Reports mechanical failures and accidents to the appropriate supervisor
-Maintains appropriate behaviour and completes Discipline Reports on problem students being transported.
-May be required to assist physically and mentally handicapped students when transporting them.
-Other assigned job related duties.
