Basic Requirements

Duties |
Yellowhead Community Services (YCS) is looking for individuals willing to become Home Share Providers for adults with diverse abilities and wellness barriers in the Clearwater and Barriere area.
|
As a Home Share Provider, you will provide ongoing support and guidance building life skills, assisting with meal preparation, accessing community resources, and services. You will encourage inclusion within the home and community environment. You will be responsible for the safety, support, and wellbeing of the individual. You will ensure the individual is accessing appropriate medical and dental care. Also, you will assist with nurturing positive relationships with friends, family, and support networks. This is a 24/7 position; however, additional supports will be provided.

Requirements:
The successful applicant:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar application, as well as having a working knowledge of the Quickbooks Program.
- Will be expected to provide service for 16 hours per month, which will include attending all meetings.
- Will receive $400.00 per month, on a contract basis at the end of each month.
WCB and Liability insurance will be provided.
- Will obtain a Criminal Check from the RCMP. |
Duties |
1. Attend all Clearwater & District Hospice Society meetings: Executive meetings, regular meetings on 3rd Monday of the month between September and June,, Regional Hospice meetings on 3rd Tuesday of the month via zoom and the Annual General Meeting each May.
|
2. Record and maintain confidential minutes, files, member details and data in an orderly manner and distribute to members as directed.
3. Receive all correspondence, distribute, file and respond as directed.
4. File the appropriate documents in accordance with the Societies Act.
5. Receive all Hospice Society income, deposit and disburse funds as directed, order supplies and maintain transactions in Quickbooks.
6. Provide financial reports for monthly meetings.
7. Ensure all requirements are meet for Revenue Canada Agency, Interior Health Authority, insurance and any investments made.
8. Keep and maintain petty cash fund, recording receipts and expenditures, and obtain required signatures for disbursement cheques.

Duties |
The consultant works alongside families in the Lillooet area who participate in the Infant Development Program to collaborate on ways to support their child’s growth and development. Children eligible to participate in the IDP program are those who have an identified developmental disability, or are at risk of a developmental delay or disability.
|
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one home visits, virtual visits, or phone calls to build rapport with
families. Maintain visit records. Assess and support the needs of children and their families
using informal and formal assessments.
- Be knowledgeable of the available resources in town, and in the region, to support
families with referral processes or direct them to appropriate resources.
- Assist families in planning and providing experiences to encourage growth and
development of children, mostly through play-based activities.
- Provide support to families with young children in the community through various
engaging events or settings that promote the inclusion of all children, such as playgroups.
Practice family centered services and promote attachment-based parenting philosophies.
- Deliver parenting workshops.
- Use other means of maintaining a community connection e.g. Social media, virtual
groups.
- Support cultural connectedness and community wellness.
- Maintain records and prepare reports as per program standards.

Hours are flexible, Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30. Very occasional weekend or evening hours as needed to facilitate good care to families. Hours negotiable; 20 to 25 a week.
