Christine Peterson has lived in Kamloops since 1985 and spent many summers growing up exploring the North Thompson and Clearwater area. She began her career as a public servant with the Federal Government in 1999, working as a Programs Officer for Human Resources Development Canada and later as a Contract and Partnership Agent with the Provincial Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction. Much of her experience in stakeholder engagement, community partnerships, and contract management centred around rural BC and the importance of ensuring continuity of services in smaller communities. Throughout her career, she has worked collaboratively with community partners throughout the Interior, including many years in Clearwater and Barriere.
Christine left government in 2023 to accept the role of CEO with Yellowhead Community Services. She is passionate about community level programs and services and is thrilled to join the dynamic team at YCS to continue this work.

Nikki Vincent has been residing in the North Thompson Valley since 2006 and has been employed with the Society in a management role since 2008. She came with extensive supervisory and management experience in the fields of Community Living and Family Services, having been employed in the social services sector for the last 26 years. In 2020, Nikki assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer and works collaboratively with other members of the senior leadership team. Nikki embraces the mission, values and culture of YCS and is passionate about the broad scope of programs and services YCS delivers in the communities we serve. Kerry Milner Cairns is a long-time resident of Clearwater, moving to the Valley in 1996. She started her social services career in 2009 working for Yellowhead Community Services in the role of Clearwater and Area Literacy Outreach Coordinator. Kerry moved into a Management position in 2011, and then Chief Operating Officer in 2023. Kerry’s work has focused around Literacy, Education, Food Security, Facility Management, Licensed Child Care, Housing and Early Childhood Development programs.
