Community Garden
We are excited about food sustainability and, thanks to many generous donations of time and materials from various community members and partners, we are happy to provide small raised bed plots of soil for community members to grow food for their household adjacent to our main office and next door to the seniors’ complex in Clearwater. In addition to the individual garden plots, there are also strawberries, rhubarb, grape vines, plum trees and an apple tree for all to share in the harvest. The purpose of the community garden plots is to grow vegetables; however, we are always interested in beautifying the garden grounds however, so if you have landscaping ideas for outside the garden plot boxes, please notify the office. There are also some basic tools available (a wheel barrel, shovel, hose) by the garden shed to share.
As funding and available workers permits, we plan to increase the number of raised beds available and continue making improvements to this community asset.
