Statement of Diversity
Yellowhead Community Services Society strives to provide a welcoming, respectful and safe environment for our staff, stakeholders and clients accessing our services. As an agency we believe that embracing cultural diversity strengthens us as an agency and improves the quality of services that we provide. All of our agency policies and procedures will consistently reflect our commitment to respecting and honoring cultural differences and richness of diversity in the communities we serve. Yellowhead Community Services acknowledges that we are on the unceded territory of the Simpcw First Nation who are part of the Secwepemc (Shuswap) First Nation - one of 17 Bands who historically (and currently) lived in the Thompson River Valley. Yellowhead Community Services is proud to be Accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Becoming accredited means our programs and services have been evaluated by an objective third party and have demonstrated conformance to internationally accepted standards. Accreditation allows us to ensure that we are achieving the best possible outcomes for the people accessing our services and drives us to strive for continuous quality improvement.
